The Vietnam Polymath REU is a research program for undergraduates targeted at promising Vietnamese mathematics undergraduates.

My project considers the contested heritage debate in the former Serbian province of Kosovo on the example of four medieval Eastern Orthodox monasteries, all UNESCO World Heritage sites.

The Tsz Shan Monastery Buddhist Art Museum in Hong Kong, which opened in 2019, is one of the world’s largest Buddhist mega-projects with a state-of-the-art museum underneath a colossal Guanyin statue.

Nnenna Onyima studies the representation of spirits and bodies in African narratives. Her work interrogates how African creatives depict the conviction held by most African nations in the existence of the spirit world and the physical world.

My study will consider the scalar relationship between embodiment, indigenous craftsmanship, and the commodification of land, asking how we, as designers, can apply the idea of scaling to use the details of a place as a method to understand the whole.

My dissertation reassesses the Jewish experience of Baroque Catholicism by moving away from models of Jewish victimhood and instead highlighting Jewish agency and savviness.
