My thesis research examines the early period of Italian colonization between 1870 and 1900 in today’s Eritrea and Somalia.

The period (1960–1977) witnessed the influx of African American Artists to Africa in search of the “authentic” African identity and to locate their iconography within the lived experience of the continent.

Left and Right is an interdisciplinary collaboration between music, dance, audio description, sign language, and projection to examine myths of the left side through disability perspectives.

Lithium Territories investigates the current disciplinary debates on Hinterlands Urbanisms and reclaims the agency of design in devising more socially and environmentally just futures.

This project studies the domestic and international roots of the ethnopolitical transformation in Yanbian, the Korean autonomous region along the Chinese-North Korean border, as a unique case of China’s modern territoriality change and state building in its frontiers.

Using South Korea’s pharmaceuticals industry and Argentina’s agri-biotech sector as case studies, this research delves into how the contemporary developmental states navigate the complex regulation-innovation nexus.

Manipulation of information or fabrication of false and incorrect information shared via social media and online platforms has severe societal consequences.

The preliminary hypothesis of my project is that nostalgia was deployed as a literary artifact by traveling subjects from the Caribbean in their intimate discourses.
