Attention: CGII is calling for proposals for the spring 2022 grant cycles.
CGII is happy to announce that we will be accepting grant proposals this spring. Our usual suite of grants will be available: Global Programs of Distinction (GPOD), Center Grants (CG), Faculty Global Research with Undergraduates (FGRU), Global Initiative Grants (GIG). We have decided to retain the COVID-19 Global Fund grants through at least the end of this calendar year. This year, we are launching an independent grant to fund graduate student research (GGR). We are still subject to the university’s broad COVID-19 constraints (which may change), but travel restrictions have eased. For more detailed information on grant opportunities, please click GPOD, CG Grants, FGRU, GIG, GGR, or COVID-19 Global Fund.
TO THE GLOBAL RESEARCH COMMUNITY
THE DEADLINES FOR SUBMISSION OF CGII GRANTS ARE AS FOLLOWS FOR SPRING 2022:
CENTER GRANTS—MARCH 18, 2022
RETURN-FROM-COVID SUPPLEMENTARY GPOD ROUND—MARCH 18, 2022
The last year and a half have been challenging ones for keeping up research. CGII is committed to helping people get back to global research, whether on a project that stalled because of COVID restrictions or one that has taken shape during the crisis. For the moment, faculty will be able to travel for research, subject to UVa protocols and guidelines.
I thank you for your patience during this difficult time. Things are looking up and we will do what we can to help everyone get back to research.
