Expanding the Work of the Global Center for Equitable Computer Science Education

This project will scale the work of the Global Center for Equitable Computer Science (CS) Education to understand how to make CS education equitable and accessible to help address current inequities. Project activities include investigating how South American teachers implement computational practices from professional learning workshops in their classroom contexts. We will also explore how to integrate Data Science (DS) into middle and high school Spanish-speaking settings and how this integration can foster global competence in students. The project will also help host the fifth edition of the Ibero-American Seminar in Computational Thinking with researchers from all over the world.
