In the face of climate disaster and gross inequity, degrowth is a sociopolitical movement that proposes an alternative to the hegemony of capitalist economism and commodification, advocating for a collectively supportive, equitable and non-accumulative way of life.

Archaeological excavations at San Jacinto, an ancient temple from the Formative Period on the Peruvian central coast (1500 B.C.), have revealed the architectural design of an important section of the monument.

I study the interaction of state capacity and an underexplored religious institution – religious cults that center around one figure of authority.

Benefitting from interdisciplinary methodologies of spatial analysis and digital history, my research tries to rediscover its history by questioning the economic, social, and cultural impacts of the slave trade on the Ottoman Imperial Capital.
