In a time of rising sea levels and global climate change, why do the arts matter after a hurricane? “Coasts in Crisis: A Digital Exhibit of Art after Hurricanes” seeks to answer that question through the creation of a freely accessible curated digital project featuring art, music, poetry, and conversation from Greater Caribbean artists who experienced Hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017. Funds from the CGII support the design, creation, and promotion of the site in academic journals, public-facing humanities venues, and Caribbean, Digital Humanities, and Environmental Humanities research endeavors.
