“Making France Global, 1974-83” explores France’s attempt to remake itself from a great into a global power.

This semester, Profs. Cheryl Krueger and Ari Blatt, both in the Department of French, are co-facilitating a new, 1-credit reading seminar.

This project consists of a year-long thesis study surrounding the influence of French garden design on the American landscape as traced through the distribution of French botanical art of the 18th century.

I am currently working on documentary films from within and outside of France that address trauma suffered by migrants and asylum seekers in Europe.

My research focuses on French nuclear cinema and aims to reframe the way we think about nuclear movies.

Over the summer I will be investigating how videos of policing made by law enforcement and ordinary people are being introduced into French judicial proceedings.

My dissertation is about how body-worn recording technologies in policing are affecting the production, admissibility, and evaluation of evidentiary claims.

This one-day symposium brings together UVA faculty, outside scholars of French politics from the US and France, a journalist, and a current French political advisor, to examine the significance of the French elections through the lens of Europe today.

My dissertation focuses on an empathetic reading of narratives about abortion by French women writers and filmmakers.
