Tiny Packages with Big Impact: Workshop on Extracellular Vesicle (EVs) Isolation and Characterization
- Uta Erdbrügger (Medicine)
The 'Tiny Packages with Big Impact: Workshop on Extracellular Vesicle (EVs) Isolation and Characterization' is born from the acknowledgment of a critical gap in hands-on EV research training. These Extracellular Vesicles are small blebs (tiny packages) released from any cells in the body and recognized as important signaling messengers. These blebs are also explored as novel diagnostic and drug delivery tools. This workshop fills a crucial need to provide hands-on training in this specialized field for young scientists. The Global Initiative Grant at UVA ensures students from the Global South can join, fostering diversity. Beyond cutting-edge insights, the workshop will provide a unique networking platform with renowned experts in this novel research field.
