Mapping the Language of Psychology: Trends and Topics in Chinese vs. American Journal Articles via Text Mining

This project analyzes a decade of publications in flagship Chinese and U.S. psychology journals to map core research themes. By scraping article metadata and abstracts and applying topic modeling, it will produce a statistically grounded topic map showing national and temporal emphases. The study reveals convergences and gaps between Chinese and American psychology science, advancing culturally grounded theory building, and accelerating cross-national collaboration and knowledge exchange.
