Humanitarian Collaborative Cohort

Spring 2025 CG Recipient
Research by:

As one impacts of the funding cuts to USAID and the State Department, thousands of humanitarian aid workers have lost jobs. Among those are UVA alumni and students with cancelled internships. This project aims to bring together a cohort of these students, with alumni who have lost jobs, and senior humanitarian practitioners to work on short-term projects. The vision is that this cohort will build community with one another, develop professional skills to support career transitions, and together produce a think piece series, write grants, undertaking trainings, hold workshops, and allow for CGII and UVA to be engaged in current policy discussions on the future of global humanitarian aid.
