In addition to leading scholars presenting their research at the interdisciplinary conference, there will be a semester-long exhibition of tea ware at the Fralin Museum, a small exhibition of prints, historic and contemporary books related to tea at the UVa Library, and a short artist residency. These activities will provide students and faculty across the university and members of the public community opportunities to learn about tea and its multifaceted linkage to human consumption, experience, and lived environment in both historical and contemporary contexts. The events will also serve as a catalyst to stimulate further research and collaborative activities.
