Creating a Global Laboratory: The Mario Di Valmarana Center for Studies in Venice and Vicenza

The anniversary symposium, “Creating a Global Laboratory: The Mario Di Valmarana Center for Studies in Venice and Vicenza,” convened 175 U.Va. and international academic leaders, students, and alumni to build on the A-School’s longstanding relationships in Italy and imagine new University-wide partnerships in fields as diverse as water and land, urban expansion, design and health, and entrepreneurial innovation and craft. It also introduced U.Va.’s new 18,000 square foot center in Vicenza with its spacious meeting rooms, classrooms, studios and student apartments that are now available for classes, seminars and individual research.
