This project will initiate energy storage collaborations in Nordic countries, starting with Finland and Iceland. The high adoption of low carbon energy within Nordic countries has pushed research into energy storage in this region, both to level the intermittency provided by some renewable energy sources and to improve the transition of the transportation sector away from carbon emitting energy via electric vehicles.. This award will support visiting institutions within this region while the submitter is abroad to meet with individual researchers and facilitate collaborative research interactions and planning.
